Council on Chemical Abuse

Impact Statement:

Since 1972, the Council on Chemical Abuse has served in a lead role, offering the resources necessary to respond to the complex problems of substance abuse and addiction. Designated by the County Commissioners as the Single County Authority (SCA) for Berks County, the Council is responsible for the administration and management of publicly-funded alcohol, tobacco, and drug services. The Council is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors reflective of the local community.More Information

SAFE Berks provides a safe haven and ongoing support system for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our advocacy and education programs increase awareness and promote the prevention of domestic violence, sexual assault, and all forms of oppression. We are an LGBTQ+ Center located in Reading, Pennsylvania. We acknowledge that all individuals deserve respect, acceptance, and support of their inherent rights. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals experience marginalization and denied rights as part of the human community.
